Map of participating states for the Equine Event Permit
- If you have a current Coggins, the health paper can be written immediately following the exam
- Equine Event Permits require that the Coggins report, Health paper, and pictures of the horse be sent to the Alabama Department of Agriculture for processing. This typically requires 5-7 business days for the report to be mailed back to the practice. Once the report has been returned it can be forwarded to you via a method of your preference.
- If your Coggins report is set to expire before the duration of your health paper OR Equine Event Permit, then both of these will expire early upon the expiration of the Coggins test
