What exactly are “health papers”?
Health papers are technically called “Certificates of Veterinary Inspection” (VCI). This proper name actually helps to communicate more accurately what “health papers” are.
The video above seeks to help answer questions such as:
- When do I need health papers?
- How long are they good for?
- What do I need to do to get them?
- When should I get my animal’s health papers?
In addition to these questions, well explain to you how the new Equine Event permits work and how to go about getting one of them.
The video is mainly focused on horses that will be traveling, but it is also applicable to cattle being shipped for sale as well.
Small animal travel may also require a VCI, but the application is more varied and we recommend that you simply contact us to determine if your small animal (typically dogs and/or cats) should have a health paper for traveling.
